Mexican artist Juan Carlos Navarro was born in Guadalajara, Mexico in 1975. Though formally trained in Mexico as an Engineer and Architect, Juan Carlos has demonstrated tremendous skill as a painter since childhood. His paintings were first exhibited in 2006.
Navarro’s artwork is as sacred as it is beautiful. His paintings explore mythological and transcendent themes of nature. They harken to the ancient stories of naiads and dryads, gods and spirits of fountains and streams, of forests and trees. These spiritual beings move through light and space in the landscape that is formed through Navarro's discreet and bright forms until the animal, mineral, vegetable and human elements converge.
Navarro’s uniquely-beautiful work has been widely exhibited in Latin America and Europe, in both group shows and solo exhibitions.
